About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a VDC Mechanical Designer to join our client's team. Client-specific benefits are available and will be discussed in detail during your interview.
Compensation for this position ranges from 75k/year - 90k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the St. Petersburg, FL area.
Requirements
- At least three years of relevant mechanical design experience
- Working knowledge of constructability and strong design fundamentals for mechanical and plumbing systems and installation methods
- Experience with VRV, WSHP, and DX Split systems preferred, as well as CADD/Revit experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
- Detailed knowledge of mechanical codes (IPC, IMC, IBC, ASHRAE)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and specifications
- Perform basic HVAC calculations
- Knowledge of HVAC load calculations using Trane Trace or similar programs
- Experience in duct sizing, layout, and design for air systems
