About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a VDC Electrical Project Manager to join our client's team. Client-specific benefits are available and will be discussed in detail during your interview.
Compensation for this position ranges from 90k/year - 110k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the St. Petersburg, FL area.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in electrical contracting, specifically in project management or coordination roles.
- Valid state-issued Journeyman Electrician License.
- Proven ability to manage multiple electrical projects through the preconstruction phase, including temporary power, lighting, distribution, and equipment layouts.
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and familiarity with local codes and safety standards (including IBC and IECC).
- Excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and make strategic decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional values: integrity, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous development.
Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience as an MEP coordinator or superintendent with a general contractor.
- Hands-on proficiency with the following tools and platforms:
- Revit (MEP): Primary tool for 3D modeling and BIM coordination.
- AutoCAD Electrical: For electrical schematics and layouts.
- Navisworks Manage: Used for clash detection and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Trimble SysQue or eVolve Electrical: For prefabrication-ready modeling in Revit.
- Bluebeam Revu: For plan reviews and markup workflows.
- BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud: For cloud-based collaboration and model/document management.
