About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Support Engineer to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.
Compensation for this position ranges from 53k/year - 60k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the Lexington, KY area.
Must Have
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems across hardware, software, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Experience working with test systems, identifying failure modes, and performing root cause analysis
- Experience collaborating on test requirements for new product launches
- 3–6 years of relevant technical experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Plusses
- Experience supporting Mac OS X (10.4 or higher)
- Basic working knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems (Red Hat preferred)
- Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certification or equivalent experience
- Vendor or administrator-level certifications, especially:
- Apple ACMT / ACSP
- Cisco CCNA
