About the Job

Gentis Solutions is looking for a Sr. Site Reliability / DevOps Engineer to join our client's team. Client-specific benefits are available and will be discussed in detail during your interview.

Compensation for this position ranges from 130k/year - 140k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.

This position requires the individual to be located in the Cincinnati, OH area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience (8+ years total experience accepted in lieu of degree)
  • 4+ years of experience in cloud SRE, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related role
  • Strong foundations in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and multi-threaded systems
  • Experience supporting always-on, high-volume web applications in cloud environments (Azure and/or GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems, including administration, security, performance tuning, monitoring, and production troubleshooting
  • Experience with service-oriented and cloud-native architectures
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPNs, routing, and subnets
  • Proficiency in shell scripting with demonstrated use for automation and monitoring
  • Experience provisioning and supporting managed cloud services, PaaS platforms, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven experience supporting technologies that enable omnichannel or customer-facing digital platforms

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure DevOps, or TeamCity
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps services (Pipelines, Test Plans, Artifacts)
  • Experience with web and traffic infrastructure tools such as Nginx, HAProxy, or Squid
  • Experience operating or supporting observability platforms (ELK, Datadog, New Relic, Azure Monitor, Grafana, PagerDuty)
  • Exposure to modern infrastructure and messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes
  • 2+ years of experience configuring and managing cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience designing or supporting high-volume eCommerce or digital commerce platforms
  • Microsoft Azure certification
  • Industry experience in retail or healthcare
