About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.
Compensation for this position ranges from 133k/year - 144k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the San Francisco, CA area.
Must Have
- 4+ years of professional software development experience
- 3+ years of programming experience in Java or a similar object-oriented language (C++, C#)
- Strong experience with object-oriented design
- Experience helping with system architecture and design
- Experience building reliable and scalable systems
- Hands-on experience with AWS technologies
- Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
Plusses
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar
- Experience designing and building complex software systems
- Proven success building scalable software in fast-paced environments
- Experience with Machine Learning and Natural Language Understanding
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams
- Strong technical communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of software development best practices
