About the Job

Gentis Solutions is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. The client has expressed an interest in hiring the individual after project completion. Consulting engagements of this type typically last an average of 3-6 months.

Compensation for this position ranges from 125k/year - 135k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.

This position allows for individuals to work fully remote anywhere in the continental US.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Java and related web technologies
  • Extensive experience building/deploying services and applications using Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and Angular
  • Experience with GitHub CI/CD and using Rancher to manage Kubernetes cluster(s)
  • Experience/familiarity with RDBMS, specifically MS-SQL (Transact-SQL), Oracle SQL (PL/SQL), and DB2 (SQL)
  • Experience working with mainframe systems and databases
  • Deep knowledge in a minimum of two of the following technical disciplines: infrastructure and network design, application development, application programming interfaces (APIs), cloud, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice To Have:

  • Experience with the Azure ecosystem
  • Experience with Kafka
  • Experience with PrimeNG (angular UI library)
  • Familiarity with event management or supply chain systems
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
