About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.
Compensation for this position ranges from 114k/year - 150k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the Blue Ash, OH area.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles, delivering cloud-based data solutions
- Strong expertise in Databricks and Azure Synapse with hands-on Spark-based data processing
- Proficiency in modern data architectures such as Lakehouse, ELT/ETL pipelines, and real-time data processing
- Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and performance optimization
- Proven experience modeling and managing large-scale, complex behavioral and Ecommerce datasets
- Expertise in business intelligence and enabling self-service analytics through well-structured datasets
- Hands-on experience with Unity Catalog and other governance/cataloging tools (e.g., Alation)
- Working knowledge of behavioral analytics platforms like Adobe Analytics and Adobe Customer Journey Analytics
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience working in agile delivery environments, balancing speed, scalability, and quality
