About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.
Compensation for this position ranges from 104k/year - 114k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the Arlington, VA area.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in corporate sustainability, carbon accounting, life-cycle assessment (LCA), or sustainability assurance
- Deep expertise in greenhouse gas emissions reporting, life-cycle analysis, sustainability metrics, and governance over sustainability data
- Strong understanding of the GHG Protocol and greenhouse gas reporting standards
- Experience calculating and reporting Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions
- Strong knowledge of carbon footprint measurement methodologies
- Experience establishing or maintaining internal controls over sustainability data
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work across complex, multi-source datasets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical sustainability concepts to diverse audiences
Plusses
- Hands-on experience supporting sustainability assurance engagements or internal audits related to sustainability metrics
- Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Professional certifications such as GHG Inventory Quantifier, Sustainability Assurance Practitioner, or similar credentials
