Gentis Solutions is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our client's team. Client-specific benefits are available and will be discussed in detail during your interview.
Compensation for this position ranges from 54k/year - 58k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the Cincinnati, OH area.
General Description:
A Quality Control (QC) inspector's job description involves ensuring products meet established quality and safety standards through systematic inspections, testing, and documentation. This includes monitoring production, measuring products against specifications using tools such as calipers and gauges, identifying defects, and reporting findings to recommend corrective actions that maintain consistency and compliance.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct inspections and testing: Perform visual inspections and physical tests on raw materials, components, and finished goods at various stages of production.
· Use measuring equipment: Operate tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers to ensure products meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
· Monitor production: Observe manufacturing processes to ensure they are being performed in accordance with established guidelines and quality standards.
· Identify and report defects: Document and report any deviations, defects, or non-conformities and take action to remove or reject non-compliant items.
· Maintain records and documentation: Keep detailed records of inspection findings, testing data, and quality reports.
· Ensure compliance: Verify that all processes and products adhere to internal policies, industry regulations, and legal standards.
· Recommend improvements: Collaborate with production teams to identify trends and suggest corrective actions or process enhancements.
· Maintain equipment: Ensure that inspection and testing equipment is calibrated correctly and in good working order.
Required skills:
· Knowledge of GD&T, blueprints, specifications, and quality standards
· Proficiency with measuring tools and electronic inspection equipment
· Basic mathematical and computer skills
· Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth
· Perception and the ability to adjust focus and distinguish color.
· Minimum Educational Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum Previous Experience: 5 years of quality inspection (metrology)
Other Skills a plus:
Write and edit CMM programs using PC-DMIS.
