About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Quality Assurance Tech to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.
Compensation for this position ranges from 62k/year - 78k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the North Reading, MA area.
Must Have
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in quality inspection in manufacturing or assembly environments
- Experience inspecting mechanical and electromechanical assemblies
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and optical inspection equipment
- Experience working with quality systems, including NCR documentation and QMS
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced production environments
Plusses
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field
- Experience in robotics, automation, or advanced manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of robotic systems such as gantries, end-of-arm tooling (EoAT), vision systems, or actuators
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar certification
- Experience with CAPA processes and root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
- Experience with ERP, MES, or quality data tools
