Project Manager - Structural Engineering
About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Project Manager - Structural Engineering to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.
Compensation for this position ranges from 135k/year - 156k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position allows for individuals to work fully remote anywhere in the continental US.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering

5–10+ years of experience in building design and construction

Demonstrated expertise in structural optimization and structural materials
-
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with multi-stakeholder involvement

Strong project and program management skills, delivering projects on time and within budget

In-depth knowledge of:

Structural analysis and construction methods, including seismic, wind, and load calculations

Structural materials, particularly concrete (material properties, construction methods, and performance)

Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including architects, MEPF engineers, and sustainability consultants

Ability to create, manage, and maintain structural design standards and specification documents

Proven skills in identifying and resolving blocking issues, managing escalations, and anticipating trade-offs

Ability to develop and implement consistent, repeatable engineering processes

Skilled at leading business re-engineering and process improvement initiatives across regional and global teams

Strong technical proficiency in structural analysis and digital design tools

Proactive, innovative, and research-driven mindset
Nice to Have

Experience with embodied carbon reduction or other sustainability-focused structural design initiatives

Experience working in global project teams or international environments

Exposure to building design system integration with other disciplines beyond structural (e.g., architecture, MEP, sustainability tools)

Familiarity with emerging technologies in digital structural modeling and performance tracking

Ability to influence design standards across organizations or large enterprise projects
