About the Job

Gentis Solutions is looking for a Principal Enterprise Applications Architect to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. The client has expressed an interest in hiring the individual after project completion. Consulting engagements of this type typically last an average of 3-6 months.

Compensation for this position ranges from 146k/year - 171k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.

This position requires the individual to be located in the Columbus, OH area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise-wide architecture, particularly in customer channels & corporate systems

  • Deep expertise across multiple Application / Customer Channels & Corporate Systems capability areas

  • Proven experience mentoring and directing architects across teams and organizations

  • Strong experience with both on-premise solutions and cloud platforms (Azure and AWS)

  • Proficiency with relevant technologies:

  • Tools: Concourse, Copado, Copilot, Docker, Gearset, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Postman

  • Platforms: Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow

  • Strong knowledge of:

  • API-first design patterns

  • Agile development practices

  • Enterprise capability areas (AI/ML, API management, commerce, integration, DevSecOps, security, supply chain, etc.)

  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks and tools:

  • TOGAF, ITIL, LeanIX

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong consultative, leadership, and cross-functional communication skills

  • Self-motivated and highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities Nice to Have

  • Experience in application development, systems management, or project management

  • Background working in large enterprise transformation initiatives

  • Familiarity with composable architecture and modern runtime environments

  • Exposure to HR, marketing, and customer service systems from an architectural standpoint

  • Experience facilitating Architecture Review Boards or similar governance forums

  • Demonstrated ability to align enterprise-level architecture with business objectives
