About the Job

Gentis Solutions is looking for a Lab Technician to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.

Compensation for this position ranges from 0.02k/year - 0.02k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.

This position requires the individual to be located in the Decatur, IL area.

Requirements

  • Regular and prompt attendance, with active participation in training
  • Reports to work in a condition fit to perform all required duties
  • Adheres to proper personal hygiene standards
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in applied science preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, OneNote) and instrument-specific software
  • Analytical laboratory experience preferred
  • Understands safety is a shared responsibility; committed to a zero-injury culture and follows all ADM safety protocols

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Able to work at heights, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and lift 50 lbs repeatedly (e.g., moving gas cylinders)
  • Capable of handling hazardous chemicals safely
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
