About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Instructional Designer to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.
Compensation for this position ranges from 104k/year - 115k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the New York City, NY area.
Must Have
- 7+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or technical writing
- Experience with e-learning development tools (e.g., Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond)
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex information
- Experience applying instructional design principles (adult learning, on-the-job learning, performance support)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with experience working cross-functionally
- Knowledge of instructional theories, adult learning, on-the-job learning, knowledge management theories, and principles in both digital and classroom instruction
Plusses
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms
- Familiarity with knowledge management systems, content reuse, and scalable design practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Photoshop or visual design tools
- Experience designing AI-enabled or data-informed learning solutions
