Enterprise Cloud Architect
About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Enterprise Cloud Architect to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. The client has expressed an interest in hiring the individual after project completion. Consulting engagements of this type typically last an average of 3-6 months.
Compensation for this position ranges from 146k/year - 171k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the Columbus, OH area.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

10+ years of enterprise-wide architecture experience, with a focus on cloud and technology domains

Strong leadership experience mentoring and directing architecture teams

Proficiency in both on-premise and cloud environments, specifically Azure and AWS
-
Deep knowledge of the following technologies:
-
Azure compute products, Cisco, Docker, Equinix, Kubernetes, Microsoft solutions, Mulesoft, Palo Alto, ServiceNow, VMware

Experience leading on-premise to cloud migrations

Expertise in technology capability areas including:
-
APIs, Automation, Cloud Services, Compute, Databases, Development Tools, Infrastructure as Code, Logging and Monitoring, Network Segmentation (private and public), Runtime Environments, Security, Service Operations, Storage, and Unified Communications

Familiarity with API-first design and patterns

Strong cross-domain technical knowledge across applications, data, infrastructure, and security

Effective communication and consultative skills with cross-functional teams and leadership

Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and LeanIX

Working knowledge of TOGAF, ITIL, or similar architectural and business process frameworks

Proven ability to organize priorities, manage multiple tasks, and drive team performance Nice to Have

Experience with DevSecOps and full lifecycle application development

Project management and systems management background

Ability to lead architectural governance, including review boards and exception processes

Strategic mindset for creating transformation roadmaps and scaling architectural standards

Ability to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies into enterprise architecture

Exposure to hybrid environments combining legacy and modern systems
