Gentis Solutions is looking for a Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.
Compensation for this position ranges from 148k/year - 158k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the Bellevue, WA area.
Must Have:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (e.g., Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, etc.).
- 4+ years of experience in hardware development, including system-level design, PCB design, integration of embedded systems, or industrial machinery designs.
- Familiarity with cross-functional engineering collaborations, including working with firmware engineers, mechanical engineers, and software teams.
- Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design, signal integrity, power electronics, and EMI/EMC considerations.
- Ability to program embedded microcontrollers/firmware, experience with Linux.
- Strong interest in understanding and translating customer requirements into technical solutions, particularly in the context of sensor-based data collection systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation and cross-functional communication.
Plusses:
• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in embedded systems, signal processing, sensor integration, or related areas.
• Proven ability to work with sensor interfaces (e.g., I²C, SPI, UART, ADCs/DACs) and data acquisition systems for prototyping and experimental setups.
• Experience designing and integrating multi-sensor platforms, including both optical and non-optical sensing technologies (e.g., ultrasonic, capacitive, RF, thermal).
• Exposure to computer vision or machine learning, especially in the context of embedded or edge-processing systems.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and validation testing (e.g., CE, FCC, RoHS) is a plus.
