About the Job

Gentis Solutions is looking for a Electrical Engineer to join our client's team. Client-specific benefits are available and will be discussed in detail during your interview.

Compensation for this position ranges from 90k/year - 110k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.

This position requires the individual to be located in the Wilmington, OH area.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred); degrees in other disciplines will be considered based on experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proven track record of product launches from concept to commercialization (NPI experience is a plus).

  • Expertise in designing PCBAs, including schematics, layouts, Gerbers, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials.

  • Proficiency in Altium Designer.

  • Experience in designing specifications for DC motor control systems, motors, LiFePO4 batteries, microcontrollers (ST and PIC), wireless communications, displays, and human interfaces.

  • Ability to choose material selections based on mating components (e.g., connectors, sensors, harnesses, EMC shielding, vibration resistance, enclosures in 3D space).

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for test, validation, and qualification equipment.

  • Proficiency in producing technical documentation, procedures, and instructions for internal and external process controls. Technical and Regulatory Knowledge

  • Familiarity with FDA and ISO standards, including ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDD 93/42/EEC, and MDR compliance.

  • Participation in Engineering Change Order and/or Phase-Gate processes to ensure QMS compliance. Software and Tools

  • Ability to code with Visual Studio Code in C and C++ for embedded software and firmware. 

Nice-to-Have Skills

Software and Tools

  • Experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM. Product Design and Engineering

  • Familiarity with IEC, UL, UN, CSA, CE, and EN electrical and regulatory standards.

  • Experience designing or re-designing FDA, ISO, and MDR-compliant products.

  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical and hydraulic devices for new product designs. Leadership and Collaboration

  • Ability to guide team members in test methods and design validation activities. Industry Knowledge

  • Experience with medical devices and adherence to ISO 13485 standards is a plus.
