About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Digital Design Engineer to join our client's team. Client-specific benefits are available and will be discussed in detail during your interview.
Compensation for this position ranges from 120k/year - 140k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the Rochester, NY area.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 4+ years, or 10+ years of equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong experience in digital hardware design and development
- Hands-on experience with simulation, prototyping, schematic capture, and PCB/flex circuit design
- Proven ability to analyze electrical requirements and assess feasibility within time and cost constraints
- Extensive hands-on experience using test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators)
- Experience integrating digital designs with RF, FPGA, DSP, embedded firmware, and test systems
- Proficiency using high-level programming languages to configure programmable logic and control hardware
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance
Nice to Have
- Experience with emerging digital design trends, new components, and manufacturers
- Experience with high-speed digital communication protocols (USB, Gigabit Ethernet, PCIe)
- Broad product development experience from component selection through factory implementation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in large engineering organizations
