About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Cost Accountant to join our client's team. Client-specific benefits are available and will be discussed in detail during your interview.
Compensation for this position ranges from 100k/year - 110k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the Cincinnati, OH area.
Requirements
Education and Experience

Undergraduate degree in Accounting.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Cost Accounting. Technical and Functional Skills

Proven ability to implement standard costing methodologies and practices.

Experience with inventory control processes, including reconciliation of inventory and balance sheet accounts.

Strong analytical skills for investigating and resolving costing errors (e.g., bill of materials, work order costing, production routers).

Ability to assist in preparing and reviewing monthly close reports, journal entries, and P&L impact analyses.

Familiarity with preparing intercompany inventory transaction pricing and statutory transfer pricing requirements.

Demonstrated capability to partner with engineering teams for establishing initial costs for new products.

Knowledge of general accounting functions and month-end processes.

Experience in preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.

Ability to assist with audits, including financial statement audits and audits by governing bodies. Core Competencies

Familiarity with investigating purchase price variance, foreign currency exchange impacts, and cost of goods sold variances.

Knowledge of global operations finance, including processes for multiple entities or affiliates (e.g., US and Australia).

Exposure to statutory transfer pricing and elimination processes. Process Improvement and Collaboration

Experience working with global or multi-location teams to implement standardized procedures.

Ability to recommend and drive continuous improvement of accounting and operations processes.

Enthusiasm for participating in ad-hoc projects to improve business efficiencies. Advanced Technical Skills

Familiarity with engineering processes for new product cost estimation.

Experience working with intercompany transaction pricing and compliance requirements.
