Gentis Solutions is looking for a Application Analyst - POS Operations to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.

Compensation for this position ranges from 166k/year - 208k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.

This position requires the individual to be located in the Portland, OR area.

Requirements

3 to 7+ years supporting retail POS systems or similar application environments
Strong POS troubleshooting, triage, and root cause analysis experience
Experience analyzing logs and resolving issues with limited documentation
On-premise application and hardware support experience
Familiarity with POS hardware, including terminals, scanners, and peripherals
Working knowledge of Java-based applications
Retail rollout support experience in fast-paced, high-urgency environments
Strong prioritization, collaboration, and independent problem-solving skills

Plusses

Toshiba POS or similar retail platform experience
Multi-store retail rollout experience
Specialty retail support experience, such as jewelry or similar verticals
Experience working with operations and field support teams
