About the Job

Gentis Solutions is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Manager to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.

Compensation for this position ranges from 125k/year - 144k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.

This position allows for individuals to work fully remote anywhere in the continental US.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience leading mechanical design and project delivery from design development through construction administration on complex commercial projects (industrial experience preferred)
  • Deep expertise in mechanical (HVAC/MEP) systems, building codes, ASHRAE standards, and industry regulations
  • Proven leadership experience managing mechanical design teams and coordinating across clients, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ownership of scope, schedule, budget, and quality across multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong financial management experience including budget development, cost control, and value engineering
  • Advanced BIM coordination and clash detection experience in active development environments
  • Ability to lead technical design reviews and align engineering execution with broader program objectives
  • Clear and concise communication skills, including presenting technical concepts to senior leadership and non-technical partners
  • Proficiency with Revit (MEP), Navisworks, BIM 360, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office
