About the Job

Gentis Solutions is looking for a Security Systems Analyst to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.

Compensation for this position ranges from 63k/year - 93k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.

This position requires the individual to be located in the Columbus, OH area.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Electronics, or a related field — or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in physical security systems, including access control and video surveillance
  • Proficiency with enterprise-grade security platforms such as Victor VMS and CCure 9000
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating multiple security platforms across large or distributed environments
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, routers) for system connectivity and diagnostics
  • Exposure to system upgrades, firmware management, or vendor coordination
  • Certifications in physical security technologies or access control systems (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, CCure)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the deployment and replacement of end-of-life security systems, including cameras, access control devices, and supporting hardware
  • Respond to service requests and troubleshoot system issues to maintain optimal performance and uptime
  • Maintain and update system documentation, configuration records, and standards to align with best practices and compliance requirements
  • Support the testing and evaluation of new physical security technologies through pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives
  • Conduct regular audits of equipment, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation for all physical security assets
  • Contribute to reporting on system health, maintenance activities, and project progress for internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align security system operations with broader project goals and IT infrastructure
  • Assist the Security Operations Center in refining alarm configurations, reducing false alerts, and improving response times
  • Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for technical support, training, and warranty management
  • Develop reference materials and training guides to improve internal team efficiency and overall system usability
