About the Job

Gentis Solutions is looking for a Robotics Software Development Engineer to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.

Compensation for this position ranges from 125k/year - 144k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.

This position requires the individual to be located in the Sunnyvale, CA area.

Must Have

  • Software development experience with Python and C++ and strong object-oriented programming knowledge
  • Experience designing, building, testing, and supporting production-quality software
  • Strong Linux experience with command-line tools, networking fundamentals, and distributed system debugging
  • Experience building automation, developer tools, backend services, or system integrations
  • Experience working with APIs, structured data, databases, and event-driven or workflow-based systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience

Plusses

  • Robotics, autonomous systems, embedded systems, or hardware-in-the-loop experience
  • CI/CD, test infrastructure, artifact management, configuration management, or experiment-tracking experience
  • Cloud, container, or Infrastructure as Code experience
  • Machine learning deployment, inference runtimes, GPU acceleration, or performance benchmarking experience
  • Simulation, calibration, digital asset, or robot fleet management experience
  • Experience building search, retrieval, AI-assisted knowledge, observability, incident response, or production automation tools
