About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a POS Application Analyst to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.
Compensation for this position ranges from 94k/year - 114k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the Portland, OR area.
Responsibilities
- 3–7+ years of experience supporting retail POS systems or similar application environments
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience with POS software, hardware, and system integrations
- Proven ability to triage, diagnose, and resolve issues independently in fast-paced environments
- Experience analyzing application and system logs to identify root cause and resolve incidents
- Experience supporting on-premise (non-cloud) application environments
- Familiarity with POS hardware including terminals, scanners, and related peripherals
- Working knowledge of Java-based applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-urgency or rollout environments
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting Toshiba POS systems or similar retail platforms
- Experience supporting large-scale or multi-store retail system rollouts
- Background supporting specialty retail environments (e.g., jewelry or similar verticals)
- Experience partnering with store operations or field support teams to resolve production issues
