Gentis Solutions is looking for a Mechanical Engineer, Machine Design to join our client's team. Client-specific benefits are available and will be discussed in detail during your interview.

Compensation for this position ranges from 80k/year - 90k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.

This position requires the individual to be located in the Troy, OH area.

Requirements

3+ years of machine design experience with industrial machinery, custom equipment, automation, or manufacturing systems
Advanced SolidWorks experience designing mechanical components, assemblies, machinery, and production equipment
Experience completing, correcting, and improving existing designs, blueprints, and engineering documentation
Strong mechanical troubleshooting, failure analysis, and root cause problem-solving experience
Experience sizing and selecting motors, pneumatics, transmissions, bearings, and related mechanical components
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution

Plusses

Custom industrial machinery or complete production line design experience
Capital equipment project experience, including vendor selection, installation, and commissioning
Experience supporting manufacturing, maintenance, or field service operations
Experience with ERP systems, bills of materials, and revision-controlled documentation
Lean manufacturing, 5S, workflow optimization, or continuous improvement experience
Experience working directly with customers on equipment issues and design changes
