About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.
Compensation for this position ranges from 162k/year - 172k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the New York City, NY area.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of public relations or communications experience
- Experience in public policy communications within tech, government, or similar environments
- Strong media relations experience, including managing press and external messaging
- Experience leading communications campaigns at state and local levels
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including content creation (e.g., op-eds, blogs, media materials)
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and priorities in fast-paced environments
- Ability to operate under tight deadlines and drive outcomes

- Strong understanding of the legislative process
