About the Job

Gentis Solutions is looking for a BIM Modeler to join our client's team. Client-specific benefits are available and will be discussed in detail during your interview.

Compensation for this position ranges from 0.03k/year - 0.04k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.

This position requires the individual to be located in the Hanover, MD area.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computerized Drafting or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 5+ years of experience with electrical drafting, symbols, and conventions
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, including:
  • Creating and manipulating families, views, schedules, filters, sheets
  • Creating Revit work sets and understanding of work sharing
  • Strong understanding of BIM workflows and processes
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D plans (digital and print)
  • Fluent in Autodesk Navisworks and Design Review
  • Strong 3D layout and design skills
  • Experience creating project-specific families and managing Revit models
  • Proven ability to lead model teams, assign tasks, manage project schedules, and ensure deliverables
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Oracle software

  • Knowledge of importing external files (e.g., spreadsheets, photos, Word docs) into Revit projects

  • Experience using plotters, printers, and reproduction systems

  • Ability to proofread and check work independently

  • Prior experience with 3D coordination across trades

  • Skills in creating parametric families, shared parameters, and complex geometry in Revit

  • Experience in setting up Revit models and leading teams through project execution

  • Familiarity with posting and transmitting documents via web or file-sharing platforms

  • Understanding of confidentiality and intellectual property protection protocols
